The role blends day-to-day financial management with compliance oversight — full-cycle accounting, reporting, and internal audit support for a vehicle sales/service operation.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable & Receivable — reconciliations, collections, deposits, payments, cheque prep, invoicing, data entry
- Prepare expenditure reports, financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports; analyze financial risk
- Monitor local and foreign currency accounts, receivables, and payables; flag risk exposure
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Lead implementation of internal audit policies, frameworks, and schedules
- Prepare and submit audit documentation; support corrective action plans and remedy control deficiencies
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Ensure statutory deductions are calculated and remitted on time
Systems, Inventory & Asset Management
- Oversee postings and reconciliation within the Dealer Management System (CDK), maintaining accurate registers and ledgers
- Manage asset records and capital expenditure tracking
- Oversee inventory management — perpetual, month-end, and vehicle stock counts per schedule
- Handle accounting functions tied to the mobility/fleet operations side of the business
